Candles and light for Candlemass

"Lead, kindly Light, amid th’encircling gloom, lead Thou me on!
The night is dark, and I am far from home; lead Thou me on!
Keep Thou my feet; I do not ask to see
The distant scene; one step enough for me."
(John Henry Newman)

This baby would be like "a light to light up the whole world. Chasing away darkness.Helping people to see. And the darker the night got the brighter the star would shine."(The Jesus storybook Bible)
Candelemass remains a day of hope and light. It is a time to honor the Lord as the Light of the World and to remind us that we too have that light within us...and I look at our sunflowers, golden painted and marvel at golden infinite light
".....and Anna, the prophet when she saw Jesus in the temple  seemed  ready to run from the temple to invite others to Come, Listen and Rejoice for salvation has come for all!"from A Concord Pastor Comments)
This sunflower grows in shadow, yet it still shows its bright sunny face, it does what is required of it in the space in which it is given it grows.
The image below includes Mary and Joseph with Simeon, the holy man :"Old Simeon had waited for years and he had seen countless infants brought into the Temple, but by the stirring of the Holy Ghost within him he knew this was the One."(from Atonementonline )
