Read about St Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus. Then copy this prayer which he wrote. While you are copying it,prayerfully consider each thought and how you will put this into practice today:
Dearest Lord,
teach me to be generous.
teach me to serve you as you deserve;
to give and not to count the cost;
to fight and not to heed the wounds;
to labour and not to seek the rest;
to give of myself and not to ask for reward
except the reward of knwing that I am doing your will.”
